Released to the masses this week, the “supplemental” OS X Lion 10.7.5 and OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 are two important updates from Cupertino that resolve problems with core system components and processes, such as Time Machine backups, Safari, parental controls, and more. As the week draws to a close, Mac users who didn’t get a chance to check their software updaters will be greeted by a couple of new releases from Apple that address known issues in the latest iterations of OS X Lion and OS X Mountain Lion.
